Route: Srinagar – Pahalgam – Gulmarg – Sonmarg – Srinagar

Experience the scenic beauty of Kashmir on this 7-day journey through the region’s most popular destinations. From the tranquil surroundings of Srinagar and the Lidder Valley of Pahalgam to the alpine landscapes of Gulmarg and the snow-capped mountains of Sonmarg, this itinerary combines nature, mountain scenery, and local culture. Pahalgam is known for the Lidder River, Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari, while Sonmarg is renowned for its alpine scenery and snow-clad peaks.

Day 01: Arrive in Srinagar

Arrive at Srinagar Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

After check-in, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Srinagar.

Depending on your arrival time, you may take a leisurely walk around the local area or enjoy an optional Shikara ride on Dal Lake, experiencing the traditional houseboats, floating gardens, and beautiful Himalayan scenery.

If time permits, you may also visit Nishat Bagh or Shalimar Bagh.

Day 02: Srinagar – Pahalgam

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Pahalgam, one of Kashmir’s most beautiful mountain resorts.

The journey takes you through the countryside of the Kashmir Valley, with opportunities to see apple orchards and the saffron-growing region around Pampore, depending on the season.

Continue towards Pahalgam, situated along the Lidder River and surrounded by pine-covered mountains. Pahalgam is located approximately 95 km from Srinagar.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

Spend the remainder of the day at leisure, enjoying the peaceful mountain surroundings and the scenic Lidder River.

Day 03: Pahalgam – Aru Valley, Betaab Valley & Chandanwari

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to the beautiful valleys around Pahalgam.

Aru Valley

Begin with Aru Valley, a picturesque mountain village surrounded by lush meadows, forests, and snow-capped peaks. Aru is approximately 15 km from Pahalgam and is also an important starting point for several trekking routes.

Betaab Valley

Continue to Betaab Valley, known for its beautiful green meadows, streams, and mountain scenery. The valley takes its popular name from the Bollywood film Betaab, which was filmed in the area.

Chandanwari

Later, proceed to Chandanwari, situated in the upper reaches of the Pahalgam area. The route offers beautiful views of the Lidder Valley and surrounding mountains. Chandanwari is also associated with the starting point of the traditional Amarnath Yatra. Depending on the season, visitors may enjoy activities such as pony rides or snow activities at their own expense.

Return to Pahalgam in the evening.

Day 04: Pahalgam – Gulmarg

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Gulmarg, one of Kashmir’s most famous mountain resorts.

Enjoy a scenic drive through the Kashmir countryside before arriving in Gulmarg.

Gulmarg is surrounded by the Pir Panjal range and is particularly attractive for its alpine meadows, mountain scenery and winter snow. During the appropriate season, you may enjoy the famous Gulmarg Gondola to higher elevations, subject to weather and operational conditions.

After checking in to your hotel, spend the remainder of the day exploring Gulmarg at leisure.

Day 05: Gulmarg – Sonmarg

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Sonmarg, travelling through the scenic landscapes of Kashmir.

On arrival in Sonmarg, check in to your hotel.

Sonmarg, meaning “Meadow of Gold,” is surrounded by impressive mountain scenery and snow-clad peaks. The area is also known for attractions such as Thajiwas Glacier and its alpine landscapes.

Spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful surroundings of Sonmarg. Depending on the season and local conditions, you may visit Thajiwas Glacier by local transport or pony at an additional cost.

Enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere before returning to the hotel.

Day 06: Sonmarg – Srinagar

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Srinagar.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

Later, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Srinagar, depending on the available time. You may visit some of the city’s famous Mughal Gardens, such as Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, along with other attractions.

You may also enjoy an optional Shikara ride on Dal Lake, if not taken earlier.

Spend the evening at leisure, with an opportunity to explore the local markets and purchase traditional Kashmiri handicrafts, dry fruits, saffron and other souvenirs.

Day 07: Srinagar – Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.

Depending on your flight departure time, you may have some free time for shopping or relaxation.

Later, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight.
