Experience the timeless heritage of India on this carefully designed 11 Nights / 12 Days Indian Classical Tour, combining historic cities, magnificent monuments, sacred traditions and vibrant local culture.

Beginning in Delhi, the journey continues to the colourful Pink City of Jaipur, the Mughal heritage of Agra, the historic town of Orchha, the magnificent temples of Khajuraho, and the spiritual heart of India, Varanasi.

Along the way, you will explore UNESCO-listed monuments, historic forts and palaces, ancient temples, bustling markets and sacred sites. The journey also includes a sunrise and evening boat ride on the Ganges in Varanasi, an evening Ganga Aarti experience and an excursion to Sarnath, one of Buddhism’s most important pilgrimage sites.

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI

Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check in and relax after your journey. Overnight in Delhi.

DAY 02: DELHI CITY TOUR

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit the historic Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk. Enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through the lively lanes of Old Delhi and visit the famous Spice Market at Khari Baoli. Later, explore New Delhi, including India Gate, Parliament House, President’s House, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple, subject to opening hours. Overnight in Delhi.

DAY 03: DELHI – JAIPUR (260 KM / APPROX. 5–6 HOURS)

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, the famous Pink City of Rajasthan. On arrival, check in at your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore the local area at your own pace. Overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 04: JAIPUR CITY TOUR

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Visit the magnificent Amber Fort, followed by the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Explore the historic streets and colourful markets of Jaipur and experience the distinctive architecture and culture of Rajasthan. Overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 05: JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA (240 KM / APPROX. 5–6 HOURS)

After breakfast, drive towards Agra. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the magnificent Mughal-era city built by Emperor Akbar. Explore its impressive monuments, including Diwan-i-Khas, Panch Mahal, the Tomb of Salim Chishti and Buland Darwaza. Continue to Agra and check in at your hotel. Overnight in Agra.

DAY 06: AGRA – TAJ MAHAL & CITY TOUR

Early morning, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of India’s most celebrated monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, continue sightseeing with a visit to Agra Fort, an impressive Mughal fortress overlooking the Yamuna River. Depending on time and interest, you may also visit local handicraft and marble workshops. Overnight in Agra.

DAY 07: AGRA – JHANSI – ORCHHA – KHAJURAHO

After breakfast, transfer to Agra Railway Station to board the train to Jhansi. On arrival at Jhansi, meet your driver and continue to Orchha, a historic town famous for its palaces, temples and Bundela architecture. Visit the Orchha Fort complex, including Jahangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and other historic monuments. Continue your journey by road to Khajuraho and check in at your hotel. Overnight in Khajuraho.

DAY 08: KHAJURAHO TEMPLE TOUR

After breakfast, explore the magnificent temples of Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its intricate stone carvings and exceptional temple architecture.

Visit the Western Group of Temples, including Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Lakshmana Temple and other important temples. Later, visit the Archaeological Museum, subject to opening hours. Overnight in Khajuraho.

DAY 09: KHAJURAHO – VARANASI BY TRAIN

After breakfast, transfer to Khajuraho Railway Station to board your train to Varanasi. Upon arrival in Varanasi, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, experience the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremony on the banks of the Ganges, a memorable spiritual experience in one of India’s oldest living cities. Overnight in Varanasi.

DAY 10: VARANASI SUNRISE BOAT RIDE & SARNATH

Early morning, enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges and witness the ancient ghats of Varanasi coming to life. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha is believed to have delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Explore important Buddhist sites including Dhamek Stupa and the surrounding archaeological area. Return to Varanasi and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 11: VARANASI – DELHI BY FLIGHT

After breakfast, enjoy some free time before your departure; transfer to Varanasi Airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Delhi.

DAY 12: DELHI – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Delhi International Airport for your onward journey.
