Day 01: Arrive in Varanasi – Ganga Aarti

Arrive in Varanasi and meet your private driver at the airport or railway station. Transfer to your hotel and check in.

Later in the afternoon, begin your first experience of the spiritual atmosphere of Varanasi.

Visit Dashashwamedh Ghat, one of the most famous ghats along the Ganges. In the evening, witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti, a traditional Hindu ceremony performed with oil lamps, devotional chanting, bells and prayers overlooking the sacred river.

After the ceremony, return to your hotel.

Overnight: Varanasi

Day 02: Sunrise Boat Ride – Old City & Kashi Vishwanath Temple

Early morning, enjoy a private sunrise boat ride on the River Ganges.

As the sun rises, observe the ancient ghats coming to life, with pilgrims performing rituals, bathing in the sacred river and offering prayers. The experience provides a unique perspective of the historic waterfront of Varanasi.

Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Later, explore the old city on foot and visit some of its important temples and heritage areas.

Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most revered Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, subject to temple entry regulations and security procedures.

Continue through the narrow lanes of the old city and experience the traditional atmosphere of Varanasi.

In the evening, enjoy some free time.

Day 03: Varanasi – Sarnath Excursion

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Sarnath, located approximately 10 km from Varanasi.

Sarnath is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in India. It is traditionally regarded as the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment.

Visit:

• Dhamek Stupa
• Chaukhandi Stupa
• Sarnath Archaeological Museum, subject to opening
• Mulagandha Kuti Vihara
• Buddhist temples and monasteries

Explore the peaceful surroundings and learn about the Buddhist history and heritage of Sarnath.

Return to Varanasi in the afternoon.

Later, enjoy some free time to explore local markets or relax at your hotel.

Overnight: Varanasi

Day 04: Spiritual Varanasi – Ghats, Temples & Ganges

After breakfast, continue exploring the spiritual and cultural heritage of Varanasi.

Visit some of the city’s important ghats, including Manikarnika Ghat, one of the principal cremation ghats along the Ganges. Your guide will explain the religious and cultural significance of the ghats while respecting the sensitivity of the site.

Continue to Assi Ghat, located at the southern end of the traditional riverfront. Enjoy time along the Ganges and observe the daily rituals and activities of local residents and pilgrims.

Later, visit Bharat Mata Temple and, subject to interest and time, explore additional cultural attractions in the city.

In the evening, enjoy a final walk along the Ganges or another opportunity to experience the atmosphere of Varanasi’s riverfront.

Day 05: Varanasi – Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.

Depending on your departure time, enjoy some free time for shopping or a final visit to the Ganges.

Later, transfer by private vehicle to Varanasi Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

The tour ends with beautiful memories of the sacred city of Varanasi and the River Ganges.
