Explore ancient rock-cut Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monuments, temples and monasteries while also experiencing the highlights of Mumbai.

Day 01: Arrive in Mumbai

Arrive at Mumbai International Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

After check-in, enjoy some time to relax after your journey.

Depending on your arrival time, you may take an evening drive along Marine Drive, Mumbai’s famous seafront boulevard, or explore the lively Colaba area.

Day 02: Mumbai – Aurangabad

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey to Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar).

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.

Later, depending on the available time, you can enjoy a short orientation tour of the city. You may visit Bibi Ka Maqbara, often referred to as the “Taj of the Deccan,” and explore the surrounding area.

If time permits, visit the historic Panchakki and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 03: Aurangabad – Ajanta Caves – Aurangabad

After breakfast, proceed on a full-day excursion to the spectacular Ajanta Caves, located approximately 100 km from Aurangabad.

The Ajanta Caves are famous for their ancient Buddhist monasteries, prayer halls, sculptures and magnificent paintings carved into the surrounding rock. The caves date from different periods and provide an exceptional insight into India’s ancient Buddhist artistic traditions.

Spend time exploring the principal caves and admiring the detailed sculptures and paintings.

After sightseeing, return to Aurangabad.

Day 04: Aurangabad – Ellora Caves – Aurangabad

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to the magnificent Ellora Caves.

The Ellora complex consists of remarkable rock-cut monuments representing Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism, reflecting India’s diverse religious and artistic heritage.

The highlight of the visit is Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), an extraordinary monolithic temple carved directly from the rock and one of the most impressive monuments in the complex.

You may also visit nearby Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the twelve revered Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva, subject to opening hours and local conditions.

Later, return to Aurangabad.

Day 05: Aurangabad – Mumbai

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Mumbai.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

The remainder of the day is free for leisure and shopping. Depending on your interests and available time, you may explore Colaba Causeway, visit local markets or enjoy an evening along Marine Drive.

Day 06: Mumbai – Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.

Depending on your flight departure time, you may have some free time for shopping or relaxation.

Later, transfer to Mumbai International Airport for your onward flight.

Your memorable Maharashtra journey comes to an end with wonderful memories of Mumbai, Ajanta and Ellora.
